My name is Birdi Diehl. I’m currently a student journalist at Emerson College, News Coordinator for WERS 88.9FM, Associate Producer for WEBN Web, Assistant Managing Editor of Emerson Green Collective’s Green Magazine, published poet, past short filmmaker, and creator of an online literary & art journal.
I’m currently available for freelance journalist positions.
I’m from the state of Pennsylvania, but go to school in Boston, Massachusetts as of right now.
I am currently earning my Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a Dual-Minor in Pre-Law and Radio, Podcasting, & Streaming Media at Emerson College, but beforehand, I graduated from the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts as a Literary Arts Major, which included studying poetry, prose, and filmmaking. I spent several years volunteering in my community as well as with the fascination of and the act of creating poetry, films, fashion designs, visual art collages, and newspaper editions. Today, I am continuously writing, illustrating, and finding stories so that I can tell them to others; whether that is through personal experience or through another’s voice.
